The Academy of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau, is a Catholic, college preparatory, day and boarding school for girls in grades 7 – 12.  Established in 1821, ASH is the oldest, continuously operating school within the international Sacred Heart Network.  Sacred Heart’s rigorous academic curriculum is complimented by a full range of extracurricular and athletic programs, including an award winning equestrian program.  The school’s beautiful and spacious campus is located in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, a historical community 30 miles North of Lafayette.  Sacred Heart enjoys the benefits of a small community while also providing the cultural advantages of the city.

The boarding program attracts students from the United States and around the world.  These students are academic achievers who have a strong desire to succeed and to contribute to the Sacred Heart community.  The five-day program provides students with an opportunity to reside at school during the week and then go home for the weekends.  The seven-day residential program offers planned activities each weekend. Both programs foster the ideals of independence, leadership and personal responsibility, as well as the building of community.
