San Domenico School provides a contemporary and innovative college preparatory program for young women in a context rich in the Dominican tradition. We offer both a boarding and day program with a student/teacher ratio of 12:1. With honors and Advanced Placement courses throughout the curriculum, the academic program is strengthened by an integrated curriculum and outstanding faculty who use seminars to promote active learning. Teachers empower all student to develop habits of mind, encounter essential questions, explore new interests and to create! The arts, music and technology are integrated into the curriculum. Life skills are emphasized, along with an exposure to the global community and meaningful community service. San Domenico is known for is commitment to sustainability, world-renowned music conservatory, pre-professional theatre arts and visual arts programs, a popular sports program, and an equestrian center. New state-of-the-art facilities include an Athletic Center and a Hall of Arts with art gallery, dance studio, practice rooms for music and a 300-seat concert hall. Our spectacular 515-acre campus includes a 1-acre organic garden, a creek and hills with native oak trees. We are located 20 miles northwest of San Francisco, an ideal location to access the cultural and recreational activities of the greater Bay area.
